Sheriff’s officials are asking for the public’s help to find a stolen water truck from a work site in Apple Valley.

Sometime between Thursday and Friday, a water truck was stolen from a construction site at the southwest corner of Bear Valley and Deep Creek roads in Apple Valley, authorities said.

The truck is a white 2006 Ford F-650, converted to a water truck. There are 5-inch black numbers that read “54712” placed around the truck. There are no license plates affixed to the vehicle.

The water truck was stolen from the site of a new gas station, which remains under construction.

An Alcoholic Beverage Control seller application at the gas station construction site lists Uncle Albert’s Mart, Inc. at 20091 Bear Valley Road, the Daily Press reported.

Anyone with information on the truck or about the investigation is asked to contact the Apple Valley sheriff’s station at 760- 240-7400 or sheriff’s dispatch at 760-956-5001. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to contact the We-Tip Hotline at 800-78CRIME (27463) or wetip.com.
